Easter Message
Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, He lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
As we celebrate the Easter season and the arrival of Spring, we celebrate the new life given to us by the ultimate sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ who gave his own life for all mankind.
I have witnessed firsthand the many Missourians who have taken His lessons to heart by helping their neighbors, churches and communities especially during times of need and tragedy. I am grateful for the men and women of our state and for their abundance of compassion and eagerness to help their fellow Missourians.
The resurrection of our Savior is a joyous celebration for the Christian community. His triumph over death is symbolic of enduring hope and love for our neighbors. It is my hope that we use the Easter season and the rest of the year to praise God for the blessings He bestows on each of us.
Melanie, William Branch and I wish for you and your family a joyous and blessed Easter.
