Praises National Guard Response to Ice Storms
January 18, 2007 - Gov. Matt Blunt praised the work of the Missouri National Guard on their efforts to keep Missourians safe following the recent ice storms.
The governor mobilized the guard to provide needed assistance. Guard members have helped transport generators, gone door-to-door in affected areas to check on the well being of their fellow Missourians, and have distributed food, water and blankets.
