February 8, 2007 - Gov. Matt Blunt announces that his Administration’s year-long investigation of the state’s child care program netted $19.5 million in savings which can be used this year to improve the program and provide services to nearly 3,400 additional children.

“This is an example of what better management and oversight can mean for important programs like child care,” Blunt said. “Now we can take the money we saved and use it to help additional low-income children and families access child care.”
