Blunt Makes Council Appointments
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various state councils, boards and commissions.
Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation
Mary (Mimi) Stiritz, 68 of Clayton, is a member of the St. Louis County Historic Buildings Commission and Society of Architectural Historians- Missouri Valley Chapter. Ms. Stiritz holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s in art history from Washington University. Her appointment is for a term ending on Nov. 15, 2009.
Missouri Humanities Council
Kathleen F. Morrissey, 55 of West Plains, is the theatre and events coordinator at Missouri State University- West Plains. Ms. Morrissey holds a bachelor’s degree in Asian American studies from the University of California-Berkeley. Her appointment is for a term ending on Feb. 2, 2015.
Martha L. Greer, 41 of Chillicothe, is administrator for the Chillicothe Area Arts Council. Ms. Greer holds a bachelor’s degree in art from Southeast Missouri State University. Her appointment is for a term ending on Feb. 2, 2015.
Winifred (Wicky) Sleight, 63 of Kirkwood, is director of the Kirkwood Public Library. Ms. Sleight holds a bachelor’s degree in public speaking and master’s in library science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her appointment is for a term ending on Feb. 2, 2015.

Dr. James P. Baker, 58 of Ozark, is vice president of research and economic development at Missouri State University. Dr. Baker holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in public administration from Boise State University, and a doctorate in education from the University of Idaho. His reappointment is for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2009.
Daniel P. Mehan, 42 of Jefferson City, is president and CEO for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Mehan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. His reappointment is for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2010.
