Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today announced appointments of members who will serve on various state boards and commissions.

Dam and Reservoir Safety Council

Ronnie D. Fox (R), 63 of Bonne Terre, retired from the City of Topeka, Kansas where he worked as interim superintendent for the Water Pollution Control Division and as an interim director for the Topeka Zoological Park. Mr. Fox holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in biology from Central Missouri State University. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 3, 2008.

Life Sciences Research Board

Kevin C. Sprouse, 32 of Columbia, is vice president and chief operations officer of Immvac, Inc. Mr. Sprouse holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College and a master’s of business administration from Washington University. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 8, 2010.

Mental Health Commission

Dr. Patricia J. Bolster, 39 of Creve Coeur, is an obstetric anesthesiologist with Obstetrical Anesthesia Associates. Dr. Bolster holds a bachelor degree and a doctorate of medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 28, 2010.

Dr. Ronnie D. Dittemore, 68 of St. Joseph, is a mental health consultant. Dr. Dittemore holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University, a master’s in special education/psychology from Central Missouri State University, a master’s in guidance and counseling from Northwest Missouri State University and doctorate in education administration from Western Colorado University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 28, 2008.

Missouri Development Finance Board

Danette D. Proctor (R), 56 of Springfield, is co-owner of D-4 Investments LLC. Ms. Proctor holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Missouri State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Sept. 14, 2010.

Missouri State Penitentiary Redevelopment Commission

Daniel K. Carr (R), 45 of Liberty, is senior vice president with CB Richards Ellis. Mr. Carr holds a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on March 3, 2008.

Missouri Western State University Board of Governors

Thaddus S. Danford (R), 50 of St. Joseph, is president and founder of Family Investment Center. Mr. Danford holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri Western State University and a master’s in business administration from Northwest Missouri State University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 29, 2012.

Tommye A. Quilty (D), 32 of Mound City, is a billing manager with Northwest Missouri Cellular. Ms. Quilty holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Missouri Western State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 29, 2012.

Seismic Safety Commission

Dr. Jonathan (David) Rogers, 52 of Rolla, holds the Karl F. Hasselmann Chair in Geological Engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla. Dr. Rogers holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from California State Polytechnic University, a master’s in civil engineering and a doctorate in geological and geotechnical engineering from the University of California-Berkley. Dr. Rogers’ reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending July 1, 2010.

State Milk Board

Robert W. Cary (D), 69 of Canton, is a self employed dairyman. Mr. Cary serves as director of the Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for term ending on Sept. 28, 2010.

Well Installation Board

Fred R. Schoen, 58 of Monett, is branch manager for Geo-Enterprises. Mr. Schoen serves on the advisory council for the HVAC program at Ozarks Technical College. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Feb. 24, 2008.
