Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards, Commissions and Councils

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on several boards, commissions and councils.

Advisory Commission for Clinical Perfusionists

Roberta (Robbie) L. Brouk, 47 of Robertsville, is an active member in her community. Brouk is an adult bible study teacher and actively involved with children’s ministry at Crestview Christian Church. Brouk’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Feb. 13, 2009.

Mary Lou Hart, 54 of Lake Lotawana, is a staff perfusionist at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. Hart is a certified clinical perfusionist through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Hart’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Feb. 13, 2008.

Advisory Committee for 911 Service Oversight

James R. Person, 48 of Belton, is the chief of police for the Belton Police Department. Person holds a bachelor’s degree in the administration of justice from Culver-Stockton College and a master’s of public affairs from Park University. Person’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 9, 2010.

Board of Geologists Registration

Guy C. Gilbert, 50 of Jefferson City, is a utility engineer for the Public Service Commission. Gilbert holds bachelors degrees in economics and mining engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a master’s of technology and occupational education from Central Missouri State University. Gilbert’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 11, 2009.

Central Missouri State University Board of Governors

Lydia H. McEvoy (R), 31 of Kansas City, is a business development officer for the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City and adjunct professor at Baker University. McEvoy holds a bachelor’s degree in pre-law from Clearwater Christian College in Florida and a juris doctorate from Ohio Northern University. McEvoy’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Jan. 1, 2012.

Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board

Jeffrey L. Cox, 31 of Raymore, is an attorney with Cox Law Office, LLC. Cox holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and philosophy from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School. Cox’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending April 17, 2009.

Clean Water Commission

William A. Easley (R), 68 of Cassville, is the chairman emeritus of Commerce Bank Board of Directors - Barry County Market. Easley holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Easley’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending April 12, 2010.

Coordinating Board for Early Childhood Development

Sharon E. Rohrbach, 63 of Affton, is the founder and national director of the Nurses for Newborns Foundation. Rohrbach holds an associates degree in applied science from St. Louis Community College and a doctorate of humanities from Maryville University. Rohrbach’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.

Kathy R. Thornburg, 60 of Columbia, is director of the Center for Family Policy and Research at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Thornburg holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Pittsburg State University and a master’s degree and doctorate in child and family development from the University of Missouri. Thornburg’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.

Elevator Safety Board

John J. McNerney, 58 of Kansas City, is regional director for the International Union of Elevator Constructors. McNerney attended Missouri Southern College. McNerney’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 6, 2010.

Life Sciences Research Board

Jeanne M. Daffron, 53 of St. Joseph, is acting vice president for Academic and Student Affairs at Missouri Western State University. Daffron holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri Western State College, master’s of public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a doctorate in nursing from Texas Women’s University. Daffron’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 8, 2010.

Missouri Community Service Commission

Barbara L. Wolken (D), of Jefferson City, is the current chair of the Service Committee for the Missouri Community Service Commission. Wolken’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 15, 2008.

Missouri Head Injury Advisory Council

Andrea D. Buening, 45 of Seneca, is an independent special projects coordinator and brain injury advocate with the Independent Living Center. Buening holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Missouri Southern State College. Buening’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending May 12, 2007.

Timothy E. Imhoff, 41 of Maryland Heights, is the president of Bridges of Missouri, Inc. Imhoff holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree from the University of Iowa. Imhoff’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending May 12, 2007.

Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents

Aaron S. Baker, 18 of Maryville, is a student at Northwest Missouri State University majoring in pre-professional zoology and political science. Baker is a biochemistry research assistant and the civic service committee chair in the student senate. Baker’s appointment as the student representative is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Dec. 31, 2007.

James W. Loch (D), 54 of Maryville, is vice president and secretary of Loch Sand and Construction Company. Loch attended Northwest Missouri State University. Loch’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2012.

Organ Donation Advisory Committee

Lisa G. Britt, 38 of Columbia, is a clinical assistant professor in Radiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Britt holds bachelor’s degrees in poultry science and animal science and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from North Carolina State University and a master’s in veterinary science from Washington State University. Britt’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Jan. 1, 2010.

Jan Finn, 49 of Lee’s Summit, is the chief operations officer for Midwest Transplant Network. Finn holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Pittsburg State University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kansas. Finn’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Jan. 1, 2010.

State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts

Dr. David A. Poggemeier (R), 48 of St. Charles, is an emergency physician at Barnes-St. Peters Hospital. Poggemeier holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from DePauw University and a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Poggemeier’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Sept. 3, 2006.

State Board of Senior Services

Ann R. Bannes (D), 66 of St. Louis City, is vice president of St. Andrew’s Community Services. Bannes holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri, a master’s of psychology from Lindenwood College and a master’s of gerontology from Webster University. Bannes’ appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Aug. 30, 2009.

Well Installation Board

Harriet A. Beard, of Kirksville, is president of Beards Decorating Center. Beard holds a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. Beard’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Feb. 24, 2010.
