Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various boards and commissions.
Clean Water Commission
Ronald G. Hardecke (R), 50 of Owensville, is the owner and operator of Hardecke Farms. Hardecke holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Hardecke’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 12, 2010.
Missouri State University Board of Governors
James Buford (R), 62 of St. Louis, is the president and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. Buford holds a bachelor’s degree from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. Buford’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Aug. 28, 2007.
State Historical Records Advisory Board
Steven P. Gietschier, 57 of Florissant, is the senior managing editor, research for Sporting News. Gietschier holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, and a master’s degree and doctorate from Ohio State University. Gietschier’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Nov. 1, 2007.
Task Force on Alternative Sentencing
Judge Jay A. Daugherty, 50 of Kansas City, is a circuit judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit. Daugherty holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, juris doctorate from University of Missouri-Kansas City and master’s of judicial studies from the University of Nevada. Daugherty’s appointment is for a term ending on May 31, 2007.
Judge D. Greg Kays, 44 of Lebanon, is a circuit judge for the 26th Judicial Circuit. Kays holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southwest Missouri State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas. Kays’ appointment is for a term ending on May 31, 2007.
