Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various boards and commissions.

Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority

Kelly R. Forck (D), 34 of Jefferson City, is the operator and co-owner of Forck Farms. Forck is also the operations engineer for Jefferson City Fire. Forck’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 30, 2011.

Sherry S. Jones (R), 46 of Dawn, helps operate a farming operation consisting of row crop production and cow/calf operation. Jones holds an associate degree in marketing and finance from Central Missouri State University. Jones’ reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 30, 2011.

Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority

Judith K. Doss (R), 54 of St. Louis, brings with her over 25 years of business and charity leadership including administrative responsibilities for S.J. Associates, Inc. and a volunteer at Loyola Academy and Forest Park Forever. Doss holds a bachelor’s degree in home economics from Purdue University. Doss’ appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on May 31, 2012.

Seismic Safety Commission

Daniel Abbott, 50 of St. Louis, is an engineer at Corrigan Company. Abbott holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and masters of engineering from Kansas University. Abbott’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on July 1, 2010.

Donald Landon, 76 of Springfield, is professor emeritus in sociology at Missouri State University. Landon holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas City, masters in sociology from the University of Missouri- Kansas City and two doctorates in sociology from the University of Kansas. Landon’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on July 1, 2010.

State Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services

Dr. Lynthia B. Andrews, 55 of Platte City, is an emergency medicine physician at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Andrews holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, masters of healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix and doctorate of osteopathy from the University of Health Services, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Andrews is a current member of the council and her appointment as chairperson is for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
