Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various boards and commissions.
Lincoln University Board of Curators
Judge Iris G. Ferguson (D), 61 of St. Louis, is a retired associate circuit judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit. Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Lincoln University, masters in urban affairs and juris doctorate from St. Louis University. Ferguson’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2012.
Missouri Cotton Growers’ Organization Board of Directors
Marilyn J. Atwill, 53 of Deering, is a row crop consultant for MoCot Farm Service. Atwill attended the University of Missouri Row Crop Scouting School in Portageville. Atwill’s reappointment is for a term ending on June 26, 2009.
Thomas (Jake) Fisher, 64 of Portageville, is the superintendent of the University of Missouri Delta Center. Fisher’s reappointment is for a term ending on June 26, 2009.
Jim G. Johnson, 65 of Vanduser, is a self employed farmer and manager of Vanduser Gin Co. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri. Johnson’s reappointment is for a term ending on June 26, 2008.
Charles D. Mayberry, 68 of Bernie, is a retired cotton farmer. Mayberry’s reappointment is for a term ending on June 26, 2007.
Max Ray Moore, of Hornersville, is a cotton farmer. Moore’s reappointment is for a term ending on June 26, 2009.
Missouri Gaming Commission
Larry W. Plunkett (D), 58 of Greenville, is president of MPS Inc. Plunkett previously served as sheriff of Wayne County and with the Missouri State Highway Patrol for 30 years. Plunkett holds a Class A certification in law enforcement through the Missouri State POST commission. Plunkett’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 29, 2007.
