Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various boards and commissions.
Board of Probation and Parole
Dana D. Thompson (R), 51 of Columbia, is the chairman of the Board of Probation and Parole. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Central Missouri State University. Thompson’s reappointment as chairman is for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
Suicide Prevention Advisory Commission
Deborah K. Cook, 47, of Kennett, is the RN coordinator for Kennett Public Schools. Cook holds an associate degree in nursing from Arkansas State University. Cook’s appointment is for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2009.
Maureen T. Hennessey, 51 of Kansas City, is a psychologist at New Directions Behavioral Health. Hennessey holds a bachelor’s degree from Suny College Geneseo in New York and a doctorate from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Hennessey’s appointment is for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2007.
Edward G. Riedel, 43 of Mexico, is vice president of the Arthur Center. Riedel holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master of social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Riedel’s appointment is for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2009.
