Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various boards and commissions.

Citizens’ Advisory Commission for Marketing Missouri Agricultural Products

Christine L. Chinn, 31 of Emden, is the office/accounting manager for Chinn Hog Farm. Chinn is a member of the American Farm Bureau and University of Missouri Extension Council. Chinn’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 10, 2010.

Janis A. Deimeke, 45 of Laddonia, is the deputy recorder of deeds in Audrain County. Deimeke was recently elected president of the Audrain County Farm Bureau. Deimeke’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 10, 2010.

Sherrill L. McCormack, 50 of Neosho, is a planning analyst with the Empire District Electric Company. McCormack holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University and a master’s of business administration from Pittsburg State University. McCormack’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 10, 2009.

Coordinating Board for Early Childhood

Karen A. Bartz, 64 of Kansas City, is community development manager for Hallmark Cards. Bartz holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s from Washington State University and a doctorate in adult family life education from the University of Wyoming. Bartz’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.

Missouri Development Finance Board

Mary K. Meek (R), 61 of Springfield, is president of Trymeek Corporation. Meek holds a bachelor’s degree in education form the University of Missouri. Meek’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Sept. 9, 2010.

Organ Donation Advisory Committee

Virginia A. Beatty, 46 of Fulton, is employed at the Department of Health and Senior Services. Beatty’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2010.

Peter J. Nicastro, 31 of Overland, is a scientist at Pfizer, Inc. Nicastro holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Saint Louis University and a master’s from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Nicastro’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2010.

Michael C. Perry, 61 of Columbia, is a physician at the University of Missouri Medical School. Perry holds a bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Wayne State University and a master’s from the University of Minnesota. Perry’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2010.
