Blunt Appoints Student Members to University Governing Boards
JEFFERSON CITY — Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed student members to serve on several university governing boards.
Central Missouri State University Board of Governors
Matthew J. Landstra of O’Fallon is a computer information systems and business management major. Landstra is a distinguished scholarship recipient. Landstra is a member of the CMSU Honors College and football team. Landstra replaces Andrew Nahlik for a term ending on January 1, 2006.
Southwest Missouri State University Board of Governors
Ryan A. Sivill of Chillicothe is an accounting and finance major. Sivill is a SMSU Board of Governors Scholar. Sivill is president of the SMSU University Ambassadors. Sivill replaces Kelli Wolf for a term ending on January 1, 2006.
Truman State University Board of Governors
Emily S. Kiddoo of Memphis is a political science and business major. Kiddoo is a recipient of the 2004 Truman Leadership Scholarship award. Kiddoo is secretary of the Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall Senate. Kiddoo replaces Emily Dunn for a term ending on January 1, 2006.
University of Missouri Board of Curators
Maria C. Curtis of Grandview is an English major at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Curtis works as student assistant professional. Curtis plans to enroll in the Not for Profit Business Administration Certificate Program through the Public Policy Administration Master Program immediately following graduation in May 2006. Curtis replaces Shawn Gebhardt for a term ending on January 1, 2006.
Student representatives must be full-time students at the university and are selected from a panel of three names submitted to the governor by the student government president. In order to bring the governing boards back into compliance with state statute, the appointments will end on January 1, 2006. The term for student representatives are two years beginning and ending on January 1.
