Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various state boards and commissions.
Air Conservation Commission
Mark J. Garnett (D), 51 of West Plains, is general manager at Garnett Wood Products Co., Inc. Mr. Garnett received a bachelor's degree in business from Missouri State University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Oct. 13, 2010.
Amber Alert System Oversight Committee
Chasity L. Anderson, 30 of Dawn, is the news director for KMZU, 100.7 FM and KRLI, 103.9 FM. Ms. Anderson holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from Central Missouri State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 17, 2009.
Amusement Ride Safety Board
Hugh L. Mills (R), 58 of Kansas City, is director of general services at Worlds of Fun. Mr. Mills holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical studies from Embay Riddle University and master's of public administration from Central Michigan University. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 17, 2010.
Citizens' Advisory Commission for Marketing Missouri Agricultural Products
DuBart J. Neidert, 57 of Jefferson City, is president of Neidert Associates. Mr. Neidert holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Lincoln University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 10, 2011.
Drug Utilization Review Board
Jennifer L. Passanise, 34 of Springfield, is a nurse practitioner with St. John's Neurosurgery. Ms. Passanise holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi, and a bachelor's degree and master's degree in nursing from Missouri State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 15, 2008.
Hispanic Business, Trade Culture Commission
Crista Hogan (R), of Springfield, is executive director of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. Ms. Hogan holds a bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a juris doctorate from Tulsa University. Her reappointment is for a term ending on Nov. 30, 2009.
Pedro Pantoja (R), of Joplin, is a member of the board of directors of the International Department of Missouri Southern State College. Mr. Pantoja holds bachelor's degrees in agronomy and entomology from Oklahoma State University. His reappointment is for a term ending on Nov. 30, 2009.
Heraclio A. Perez (D), of Knob Noster, is the owner of El Tapatio. Mr. Perez holds a law degree from the University of Guadalajara. His reappointment is for a term ending on Nov. 30, 2009.
Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission
Mamie C. Hughes, 77 of Kansas City, is a former school teacher and served on the Charter Jackson County Legislature. Ms. Hughes holds a bachelor's degree from Fisk University in Tennessee. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
Missouri Community Service Commission
William Jay Acock (R), 59 of Russellville, is a program director at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Community Education Section. Mr. Acock holds a bachelor's degree in education from Southwest Missouri State University and a master's of education from Drury University. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 12, 2009.
Tameka L. Randle (D), 30 of Cape Girardeau, is a regional manager for Alternative Opportunities, Inc. Ms. Randle holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University and master's of public administration from Southeast Missouri State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 16, 2009.

Patricia A. Soltys, 50 of Kansas City, is president of Patricia A. Soltys, CPA, PC. Ms. Soltys holds bachelor's degree in accounting from Benedictine College. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on July 1, 2011.
Missouri State Park Advisory Board
Max H. Nall II, 58 of Webster Groves, is managing partner at Odessa LLC. Mr. Nall holds a bachelor's degree and master's in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska and a master's of business administration from Southern Illinois University. His appointment is for a term ending on April 15, 2010.
Missouri Veterinary Medical Board
David L. Gourley, D.V.M. (R), 41 of Mountain Grove is a veterinarian at Whetstone Veterinary Service. Dr. Gourley holds a bachelor's degree and master's in animal science and a doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts
Curtis D. Mather, D.O., (R), of Lebanon, is a general orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Mather holds a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine/zoology from Northwest Missouri State University and a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Bio Sciences.
