Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY– Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various state boards and commissions.
Advisory Commission for Physical Therapists
Paula J. Burnett, 45 of Jefferson City, is director of rehabilitation services at Capital Region Medical Center. Ms. Burnett holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2009.
William P. Hopfinger, 52 of St. Louis, is president of Rehab 1 Network. Mr. Hopfinger holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from St. Louis University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 1, 2009.
Advisory Committee for Physicians Assistants
Stacey L. Karns, 43 of New Hampton, is a physician assistant in a family practice. Ms. Karns holds a bachelor's degree in physician assistant from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on March 27, 2010.
Board of Examiners for Hearing Instrument Specialists
Mark W. States, 47 of St. Joseph, is president and owner of States Hearing Aid Center. Mr. States is a board certified hearing instrument specialist. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 11, 2010.
Missouri Community Service Commission
Jane B. Evans (R), 73 of Kirkwood, is an active member in her community serving on a number of community boards including the Manor Grove Care Facility and Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library. Ms. Evans holds a degree in English from Washington University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 12, 2009.
Missouri Ethanol and Other Renewable Fuels Commission
Michael D. Geske (R), 56 of Matthews, is the owner of a 2,000 acre row crop operation. Mr. Geske holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on March 25, 2011.
Missouri Gaming Commission
Katherine (Suzanne) Bradley (R), 57 of St. Joseph, is an attorney with Shughart, Thomson and Kilroy, P.C. Ms. Bradley holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Kansas and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 29, 2010.
Larry W. Plunkett (D), 58 of Greenville, is president of MPS Inc. Mr. Plunkett previously served as sheriff of Wayne County and with the Missouri State Highway Patrol for 30 years. Plunkett holds a Class A certification in law enforcement through the Missouri State POST commission. His reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 29, 2010.
Missouri Real Estate Commission
Charles G. Misko, 60 of St. Louis, is a partner with the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. Mr. Misko holds a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Benedict's College and a juris doctorate from St. Louis University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 16, 2007.
Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners
William F. Madosky, D.C., of Richmond Heights, is a chiropractic physician. Dr. Madosky holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and health education from Central Michigan University and a doctorate of chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 26, 2011.

Autumn L. Hooper R.N., 35 of St. Louis, is the nurse manager of cardiology services at St. Anthony's Medical Center. Ms. Hooper is a graduate of the Missouri Baptist Medical Center School of Nursing. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 1, 2009.
Missouri Veterinary Medical Board
Carol G. Ryan, D.V.M. (D), 41 of Troy, is the owner of Elsberry Animal Hospital. Dr. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in animal science and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending August 29, 2009.
Seismic Safety Commission
Melvin C. DeClue, 72 of Union, is a retired engineer. Mr. DeClue served on the California Governor's Earthquake Task Force in the development of emergency preparedness, response and recovery programs. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on July 1, 2010.
State Board of Pharmacy
James D. Riddle, 48 of Cape Fair, is the owner of Riddle Pharmacy. Mr. Riddle is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending April 25, 2012.
University of Central Missouri Board of Governors
Edward L. Baker (R), 47 of Columbia, is the executive vice president for Executive Hotel Management. Mr. Baker holds a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Missouri. His appointment was confirmed for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2013.
