Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on several boards, commissions and councils.
Amber Alert System Oversight Committee
Sheldon L. Lineback, 37 of Jefferson City, is executive director of the Missouri Police Chief's Association. Mr. Lineback holds a bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University. His reappointment for the police chief slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 20, 2010.
Christopher S. Stigall, 30 of Kansas City, is a talk show host with KCMO Talk Radio. Mr. Stigall holds a bachelor's degree in broadcasting from Northwest Missouri State University. His appointment for the large radio market slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 20, 2009.
Amusement Ride Safety Board
David L. Edwards (R), 53 of Crane, is director of fire safety for Silver Dollar City. Mr. Edwards holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Missouri State University. His reappointment for the fixed amusement ride park representative slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 17, 2010.
John L. Evans (R), 57 of Lathrop, is president of Evans Midland Empire Shows, Inc. Mr. Evans holds a bachelor's degree in business from Central Missouri State University. His appointment for the small amusement ride business representative slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 17, 2009.
Board of Examiners for Hearing Instrument Specialists
Linda A. Engelmann, 36 of Liberty, is an audiologist at Hometown Hearing and Audiology. Ms. Engelmann holds a bachelor's degree in speech pathology and audiology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master's in audiology from Central Missouri State University. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 11, 2011.
Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board
Dr. Peggy S. Pearl, 60 of Springfield, is a professor of early childhood and family studies at Missouri State University. Dr. Pearl holds a bachelor's degree in vocational home economics education from Southwest Missouri State College, master's in home economics from Central Missouri State University and a doctorate in vocational home economics education from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 17, 2009.
Citizens' Advisory Commission for Marketing Agricultural Products
John F. Morrison, 66 of Nixa, is executive director of the Ozark Empire Grocers Association. Mr. Morrison attended Drury College and Southwest Missouri State College. His reappointment for the specialist in grocery slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 10, 2011.
Credit Union Commission
Cathy E. Stroud (R), 56 of Springfield, is president and CEO of Community Financial Credit Union. Ms. Stroud received a business management certification from the University of Wisconsin. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2013.
Dam and Reservoir Safety Council
Thomas F. Myers (R), 67 of Lake Lotawana, is a retired educator. Mr. Myers holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Oklahoma, master's in secondary school administration and an educational specialist in secondary administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His reappointment as public representative slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 3, 2009.
Drug Utilization Review Board
Charlene M. Heyde, 52 of St. Louis, is the pharmacy director at Foundation Care. Ms. Heyde holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 15, 2010.

Dana M. Hardy (D), 56 of St. Louis, senior companion project director at Kingdom House. Ms. Hardy holds a bachelor's degree in gerontology from St. Louis Community College and master's in human service agency management from Lindenwood College. Her reappointment for the national service program slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 15, 2009.
Claudette M. Scott (D), 68 of Kansas City, is an adjunct professor at Ottawa University. Ms. Scott received a bachelor's degree in education from Lincoln University and a master's in education from Southeast Missouri State University. Her reappointment for the community based agency/organization slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 15, 2008.
Joshua T. Travis (D), 17 of Manchester, is the youth governor of the Missouri YMCA Youth in Government Program. Mr. Travis is a junior at Parkway South High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, National Forensic League and the Boy Scouts of America. His appointment for the 16 to 25 participant slot is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 15, 2008.

Nancy D. Perry (R), 48 of Carthage, is vice president at Grace Energy Corporation. Ms. Perry holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Missouri Southern State University. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Aug. 30, 2012.
Platte County Election Board
Stephen L. Foster (D), 69 of Camden Point, retired after working for Trans World Airlines for 30 years. Mr. Foster attended Missouri Valley College. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 11, 2011.
State Board of Pharmacy
Dr. Barbara A. Bilek, 58 of St. Joseph, is the pharmacy director at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Bilek holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 1, 2012.

Dr. David A. Poggemeier (R), 49 of St. Charles, is an emergency physician at Barnes-St. Peters Hospital.
