Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on several boards, commissions and councils.
Governor's Committee to End Homelessness
Craig D. Rector, 42 of Jefferson City, is director of federal discretionary grants at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Mr. Rector holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from Northwest Missouri State University. His appointment as the education representative is for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
Homeland Security Advisory Committee
Deborah E. Scott, 55 of Jefferson City, is the director the Department of Social Services. Ms. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Truman State University. Her appointment is for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
Arlene (Francis) Hogue (R), 66 of St. Charles, is executive director of Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County. Ms. Hogue holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from Chapman University. Her reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending April 3, 2010.
Missouri Cotton Growers' Organization Board of Directors
John Hux, Jr., 64 of Sikeston, is a self-employed farmer. Mr. Hux holds a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. His reappointment is for a term ending June 26, 2010.
Charles D. Mayberry, 69 of Bernie, is a retired cotton farmer. His reappointment is for a term ending June 26, 2010.
Charles H. Parker, 65 of Senath, is owner/manager of Parker and Jones Farms. Mr. Parker holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and business from Harding University in Arkansas. His reappointment is for a term ending June 26, 2010.
Missouri State Park Advisory Board
Elizabeth Ann Buckrucker, 44 of Holt, is a senior project manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Ms. Buckrucker holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a master's in engineering management from the University of Kansas. Her reappointment is for a term ending April 15, 2010.
Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission
Carl A. Kinnison, 50 of Cape Girardeau, is chief of police at the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Chief Kinnison holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University and master's in administration of justice from Southern Illinois University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending October 3, 2007.
State Board of Optometry
Dr. James E. Bureman, 53 of Springfield, is a physician at Bradford Place Surgery and Laser Center. Dr. Bureman holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Central Methodist College and a doctorate in optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending June 30, 2011.
