Blunt Signs Several Pieces of Legislation
JEFFERSON CITY—Gov. Matt Blunt signed several pieces of legislation on Friday, May 13.
House Bill 40 sponsored by Rep. Steven Tilley (R) allows counties of the second classification to admit industrial development corporation board members from anywhere in the county.
House Bill 260 sponsored by Rep. Bill Deeken (R) authorizes the governor to convey state property located in Cole County to the Cole County Regional West Fire District.
House Bill 448 sponsored by Rep. Thomas Villa (D) increases the salary scale for police officers in the City of St. Louis.
House Bill 631 sponsored by Rep. Charles Portwood (R) authorizes the governor to convey state property located in the City of Manchester, St. Louis County, to the Manchester United Methodist Church.
Senate Bill 189 sponsored by Sen. Charles (Chuck) Gross (R) extends certain federal reimbursement allowance and requires Medicaid managed care organization to pay a reimbursement allowance.
All the bills contain emergency clauses.
