Blunt Makes Appointments to State Boards and Commissions
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced appointments of members who will serve on various state boards and commissions.
Dam and Reservoir Safety Council
Eugene J. Hites (D), 54 of Leadington, is a mill superintendent for the Doe Run Company. Mr. Hites holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His reappointment as an industry representative is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 3, 2008.
Missouri Community Service Commission
Raynel G. Schallert (R), 50 of Monett, is bookkeeper for Schallert Seed and the financial director of the Barry/Lawrence Chapter of Thrivent Financial. She previously served as the AmeriCorps director at Purdy School. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Dec. 12, 2008.
Missouri Gaming Commission
Katherine (Suzanne) Bradley (R), 57 of St. Joseph, is an attorney with Shughart, Thomson and Kilroy, P.C. Ms. Bradley holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Kansas and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 29, 2007.
Missouri Health Facilities Review Committee
Michael Meierhoffer (R), 62 of St. Joseph, is president and CEO of Meierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory. Mr. Meierhoffer holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Creighton University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 1, 2009.
Platte County Board of Election Commissioners
Joshua D. Linville (R), 27 of Dearborn, is a merchandiser with DeBruce Companies. Mr. Linville holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 11, 2011.
