Blunt Appoints Members to State Boards, Commissions and Councils
Jefferson City- Governor Matt Blunt has appointed members to serve on several boards, commissions and councils.
Board of Registration for the Healing Arts
Daniel Scodary, M.D., F.A.C.S., of St. Louis is a neurological surgeon. Scodary received his medical degree from St. Louis University Medical School. Scodary’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending September 3, 2007.
Credit Union Commission
John C. Hanneke of St. Charles is a consultant for Boeing. Hanneke has been active in community service upon his graduation from St. Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in management. Hanneke was elected Associate County Court Judge in 1974 and served two terms. Hanneke’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for term ending January 1, 2009.
Governor’s Council on Disability
Matthew A. Hughes is a Customer Advocate with Missouri License Fee Office in Farmington. Hughes’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending October 1, 2008
Missouri Training and Employment Council
John G. Kennon of Farmington is Dean of Career and Technical Education at Mineral Area College. Kennon is a member of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and Southeast Missouri Workforce Investment Board. Kennon earned a bachelor’s degree in business education from Southwest Missouri State University and a master’s from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Kennon’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending August 28, 2006.
Missouri Western State College Board of Regents
Ryne P. (Pat) Lilly of St. Joseph is President and CEO of the St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce. Lilly previously served as St. Joseph’s City Manager. Lilly is a graduate of the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s. Lilly’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on October 29, 2010.
Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission
Paul C. Vescovo III of Smithville is Clay County Sheriff. Vescovo is a graduate of Metropolitan Community College. He received specialized training from the Law Enforcement Officers Training School at the FBI. Vescovo’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending October 3, 2007.
Southwest Missouri State University Board of Governors
Carolyn S. Pinegar of Springfield is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. Pinegar has been actively involved with SMS serving on numerous advisory boards and committees. Pinegar owns several businesses that include automobile agencies, cattle operations, and real estate property. Pinegar’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending January 1, 2011.
State Lottery Commission
Celeste T. Witzel of St. Louis is Administrative Staff for the Office of the Associate Dean for Medical Student Education at Washington University. Witzel is a graduate of Washington University. Witzel’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending September 7, 2007.
