Blunt Appoints Carter to Mental Health Commission
JEFFERSON CITY– Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed Kathleen A. Carter to the Mental Health Commission.
Ms. Carter, 67 of Four Seasons, retired in 2005 from the Missouri Coalition of Community Mental Health Centers where she served as president and CEO. She attended the University of Colorado-Denver and Missouri Southern State College. Ms. Carter is a member of the Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. Board of Directors and the Missouri Department of Mental Health Consumer & Family Advocates Mentoring Group.
"I look forward to working with Kathleen Carter and the Mental Health Commission as we continue our efforts to enhance the delivery of services for Missouri's most vulnerable citizens," Blunt said.
Ms. Carter is being appointed to fill the expired term of George Gladis. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on June 28, 2009. Ms. Carter will be serving the commission as an expert in general business matters.
