Blunt Appoints Davis to Public Service Commission
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt reappointed Jeffrey (Jeff) N. Davis (R) to the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Davis, 33 of Jefferson City, has served as chairman of the PSC since January 2005. Davis was appointed to the commission in April 2004. Prior to his appointment to the PSC, Davis served as chief of staff and general counsel to Senate President Pro-Tem Peter Kinder. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Southeast Missouri State University and a juris doctorate from Washington University.
“Jeff Davis has done a superb job on the Public Service Commission during challenging times for consumers and the energy and utilities industries,” Blunt said. “I am pleased to reappoint him to this important commission and look forward to his continued work as chairman where he has proven himself to be fair-minded and willing to listen to other points of view.”
Davis’ reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 15, 2012.
