Blunt Appoints Dohrman as Pettis County Assessor
SEDALIA -- Gov. Matt Blunt announced the appointment of Dean A. Dohrman as Pettis County Assessor.
Dohrman, 46 of La Monte, is manager of export/government sales and contracts for ADM Milling of Overland Park. Dohrman is also an adjunct professor in the social science department at State Fair Community College. Dohrman serves as a member of the La Monte School Board.
Dohrman holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in history from Central Missouri State University. He also earned a master’s in political science and a doctorate in interdisciplinary social science from the University of Missouri- Kansas City.
"Dean Dohrman is eminently qualified to hold this important public service position and I am pleased that he has agreed to accept this call to work for the people of Pettis County," Blunt said.
Dohrman will take office on Aug. 1, 2005 and fulfill the term that Matt Mergen was elected to in November 2004. Missouri Revised Statutes state county assessors take office on the first day of September after their election and hold office for a term of four years.
