Blunt Orders Flags Flown at Half-staff in Memory of Highway Patrol Officer
JEFFERSON CITY—Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that all flags at state facilities in Missouri will be flown at half-staff to honor the memory of Missouri State Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Floyd of Troop G who was killed in the line of duty today.
"Our heartfelt prayers are with Trooper Floyd’s family, friends, and co-workers," Blunt said. "There is no way to express our gratitude for his and all law enforcement officers’ dedication to protecting Missourians’ safety."
Flags will remain at half-staff until dusk on the evening of funeral services honoring Trooper Floyd. Final arrangements have not been announced.
