Blunt Orders Flags Flown at Half-staff in Memory of Deceased Police Officers
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri Governor Matt Blunt today announced that all flags at St. Louis County state facilities will be flown at half-staff until dusk on Friday, Jan. 14 to honor the memory of Scott Armstrong and Steve Bastean. Armstrong, a Bridgeton police officer, and Bastean, a University City police officer, collided in a fatal car accident on Highway 370 on Wednesday.
"Missouri mourns the loss of two fine young men," Blunt said. "Today we honor the memory of Scott Armstrong and Steve Bastean and recognize all those who devote their lives to civil service."
