Blunt to Appoint George Scott to 39th Judicial Circuit
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt intends to appoint George F. Scott as Associate Circuit Judge of the 39th Judicial Circuit.
"George Scott's legal background will serve him well as he assumes the responsibilities as an associate judge," Blunt said. "I am pleased he has agreed to serve the citizens of the 39th Judicial Circuit."
Mr. Scott (R), 64 of Galena, operates a private legal practice. He will bring to the bench twenty-two years of experience as a trial judge serving on the Eighth Judicial District in Kansas. Mr. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in history and a juris doctorate from Washburn University.
Mr. Scott's appointment as associate circuit judge is a new slot on the 39th Judicial Circuit because of continued robust growth in Southwest Missouri.
