Blunt Names Hammons to Missouri State University Board of Governors
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt named Brian K. Hammons (R) to the Missouri State University Board of Governors.
"Brian Hammons will be a great addition to the Missouri State University Board of Governors and brings a great deal of experience in the private sector and community activism to this important position," Blunt said.
Hammons, 47 of Stockton, is president and CEO of Hammons Products Company. Hammons holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri State University and a juris doctorate from Southern Methodist University Law School in Texas.
Hammons serves on the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors and as president of both the Stockton Community Foundation and the Stockton Community Development Corporation. Hammons has previously served on the Stockton Board of Alderman and as city attorney.
Hammons appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Aug. 28, 2011.
