Blunt Appoints Members to Coordinating Board for Higher Education

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt appointed and the Missouri Senate has confirmed Jeanne Patterson and Martha Boswell to serve on the Coordinating Board for Higher Education. "Public education is the top priority for my administration," Blunt said. "I am pleased that Jeanne Patterson and Martha Boswell have agreed to lend their experience toward helping guide Missouri’s higher education institutions."

Patterson lives in Belton and will fill the 5th Congressional District seat. She has served as director of marketing and operations and director of client services for a leading healthcare information technology company.

Boswell, from Columbia, will fill the 9th Congressional District seat. She has served as an instructor and assistant teacher at the University of Missouri-Columbia for 10 years.

The Coordinating Board for Higher Education conducts studies of population and enrollment trends, identifies higher education needs and designs a coordinated plan for higher education in the state.
