Blunt Appoints Members to Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt appointed five members to the Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission.
The governor appointed the following individuals to the commission:
- Lloyalea (Lolle) W. Boettcher, 59 of St. Peters, serves on the governing board and the education commission for the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center. Boettcher holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Central Missouri State University and a master’s in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Boettcher’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
- Jean M. Cavender, 52 of St. Louis, is the director of the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center. Cavender holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Cavender’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
- Guenter Goldsmith, 80 of Wildwood, is the owner of Goldsmith Medical Co. Goldsmith holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Goldsmith’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
- Dana K. Humphrey, 48 of Troy, is a communication arts educator in the Ft. Zumwalt School District. Humphrey holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Humphrey’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
- Richard M. Kalfus, 63 of Kirkwood, is a professor of German, French and Humanities, and chair of the Humanities Department at St. Louis Community College. Kalfus holds a bachelor’s degree in German language and literature from the University of New York, a master’s in German language and literature from Northwestern University and a doctorate in German language and literature from Washington University. Kalfus’ appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.
