Governor’s Conference on Housing Builds Lasting Partnerships
SPRINGFIELD–The Governor's Conference on Housing convened today to highlight Partners in Affordable Housing.
“Missouri is a national leader in the affordable housing field, and our success is a result of communities, neighbors, government and volunteer organizations partnering for the common cause,” Blunt said, “Together we are improving Missourians quality of life by providing the comfort and security of having a place to call home.”
The Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) sponsors the annual event to strengthen and build partnerships among private and non-profit sectors, local, state and federal agencies, professional associations, and social service providers. State Treasurer Sarah Steelman serves as MHDC chair and conference host. The conference is today and tomorrow at the University Plaza Hotel. It features presentations, workshops and discussions focused on affordable housing.
