Blunt's IT Consolidation Honored with National Recognition
JEFFERSON CITY– Gov. Matt Blunt announced that Missouri's Information Technology Consolidation Initiative has garnered national recognition and was named a finalist in the Best Information Technology Team and Executive Category for the 2007 American Business Awards.
"Missouri is blessed with dedicated employees who work every day to make state government more efficient and effective for all Missourians," Blunt said. "The Division of Information Services can be proud that their hard work and dedication has led to this great honor."
"As promised Governor Blunt is consolidating Missouri's IT services and using technology to make state government more accessible," explained Dan Ross, State Chief Information Officer. "Recognition like this validates that with Governor Blunt's leadership we are on the right track and that the hard work of our IT employees combined with the reductions in duplication and waste is paying off."
