Blunt Appoints Jones to Missouri Gaming Commission

 

ST. LOUIS - Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed Darryl T. Jones (D) to the Missouri Gaming Commission.

Jones, of St. Louis City, is a partner with ARAMARK Jay Concessions, L.L.C., HMS D&D Concessions, America’s Center Catering and ACC at Edward Jones Dome. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. Louis University and an MBA from Webster University.

Jones is active in several community organizations including the Garden District Commission, Fontbonne University Trustee and Missouri State Bank.

Jones appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 29, 2008. Jones replaces Jack Gant whose term expired.

The Missouri Gaming Commission was created in 1993 by the 87th General Assembly to regulate gambling boats. The Commission's role is to ensure that criminal elements do not infiltrate licensed gaming operations and that games are conducted fairly, according to their rules and with full disclosure.
