Blunt Appoints Judicial Commissioners Who Understand Judicial, Legislative Roles
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt announced the appointments of several members who will serve on state circuit judicial commissions.
“The Missourians I appointed today believe as I believe that the role of judges is to interpret the law, not legislate from bench,” Blunt said. “I look forward to working with them to ensure Missouri is home to qualified judges who understand the role of the judiciary.”
David B. Barth, 43 of Parkville, is a real estate agent with Re/max of Kansas City. Mr. Barth holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and economics from William Jewell College. His appointment as a member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Commission is for a term ending on Dec. 31, 2012.
Robert P. Dudley, 59 of Eureka, is president C-12V Professional Services, LLC. Mr. Dudley holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Webster University. His appointment as a member of the Twenty First Circuit Judicial Commission is for a term ending on Dec. 31, 2012.
Melisa (Lisa) Essig, 40 of Kearney, is president and owner of Essig & Associates Inc. Ms. Essig holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from William Jewell College. Her appointment as a member of the Seventh Circuit Judicial Commission is for a term ending on Dec. 31, 2012.
Byron G. Thompson, 74 of Kansas City, is chairman of Country Club Bank. Mr. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Benedict’s College. His appointment as a member of the Sixteenth Circuit Judicial Commission is for a term ending on Dec. 31, 2012.
