Blunt Orders Flags Flown at Half-staff in Memory of Lady Bird Johnson
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that all flags at state facilities in Missouri will be flown at half-staff to honor the memory of Claudia Alta (known as Lady Bird) Johnson on Saturday, July 14.
"Former First Lady Lady Bird Johnson will be remembered for her passion for nature and her strength and gracious demeanor," Blunt said. "Melanie and I offer our prayers and condolences to her loved ones."
Flags will remain at half-staff until dusk on the evening of Saturday, July 14.
