Blunt Appoints Luntsford as Randolph County Coroner
HUNTSVILLE—Gov. Matt Blunt announced the appointment of Gerald A. Luntsford (R) as Randolph County Coroner.
Luntsford, 68 of Jacksonville, has 17 years of experience in law enforcement and corrections serving the towns of Moberly, Vandalia and Paris. He was a sergeant at the Department of Corrections prison in Moberly from 1970 to 1974. Luntsford received training from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, police training at Columbia College and FBI firearms training. Luntsford also served as a plant manager for 20 years at Dried Whey, Inc. in Moberly until 1994.
"Gerald Luntsford’s background in law enforcement will be a great asset as he assumes the role of Randolph County coroner," Blunt said.
Luntsford replaces David Haley who resigned.
