Blunt Appoints Lymer as Adair County Clerk

KIRKSVILLE–Gov. Matt Blunt appointed James (Jim) D. Lymer to serve as Adair County Clerk.

Lymer, 60 of Kirksville, worked for the state of Missouri for more than 35 years. For more than 14 years he served in a supervisory capacity in the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Division of Liquor Control. Lymer is a Missouri Army National Guard veteran. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and corrections from Northeast Missouri State University, now Truman University.

"Jim Lymer brings a great deal of experience to the Adair County Clerk’s office," Blunt said. "His background as a law enforcement officer will serve him well in a position bound to no agenda and committed to the responsible conduct of elections so that the people can be heard on vital issues facing their community, state and nation."

Lymer will replace Jon E. Cook who resigned.
