Blunt Appoints Murphy as Clark County Presiding Commissioner
JEFFERSON CITY –Gov. Matt Blunt today appointed Steven J. Murphy (R) as Clark County Presiding Commissioner.
Murphy, 60 of Kahoka, is employed with Pro-Tech Company, Inc. working in sales. Murphy is a member of the Kahoka/Clark County Economic Development Corporation and a member of the board of directors for Industrial Development Corporation.
“I am pleased that Steven Murphy has agreed to serve as the presiding commissioner of Clark County,” Blunt said. “As a private citizen Steve has put a great deal of energy and enthusiasm into making Clark County a better place to live, work and raise a family for current and future generations, and this strong commitment will serve him well on the county commission.”
Murphy will fill the vacancy created by the passing of Eddie Brewer.
