Blunt Appoints Nordwald to State Tax Commission
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt appointed Charles F. Nordwald (R) to the State Tax Commission.
"Charles Nordwald earned a fine reputation as an honest and fair-minded state legislator and these qualities will serve him well on the state tax commission," Blunt said. "I am pleased he has agreed to return to public service and look forward to his contributions to this important commission."
Nordwald, 50 of Warrenton, is the owner and operator of Nordwald and Associates Auction Services, Inc. Nordwald represented Warren and Montgomery Counties in the Missouri House of Representatives from January 1993 through January 2003. He is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City and acquired his Missouri real estate broker’s license in 1983.
The State Tax Commission is in charge of managing the state’s property assessment system.
Nordwald’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Jan. 23, 2012.
