PSC Statement on Blunt Chief's Testimony Inaccurate

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt's Chief of Staff Ed Martin received notification from the Public Service Commission on Monday, March 26, by the chief administrative law judge that he should be prepared to testify before the commission tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. This afternoon, the PSC issued a patently false statement contradicting the information they provided to the governor's office.

"I remain ready to testify anytime, anyplace, about the information I have that will demonstrate how Attorney General Jay Nixon's actions are hurting ratepayers and are directly related to the Ameren rate case before the Public Service Commission," Martin said. "Ratepayers deserve to know the truth about Attorney General Jay Nixon's relationship with Ameren. The Attorney General's actions with Ameren are like a traffic cop that coerces money from a speeding motorist. We hope the commission is not being coerced."
