Blunt Appoints Woods as Ripley County Assessor
DONIPHAN–Gov. Matt Blunt announced the appointment of Martha (Betty) E. Woods (R) as Ripley County Assessor.
Woods, 61 of Doniphan, was employed by Rockford Health System in Illinois for 17 years before moving back to Missouri in 1997. She attended Rock Valley College in Illinois where she studied community and continuing education. Woods is a member of the Ripley County Historical Society.
"I am pleased that Betty has agreed to serve the people of Ripley County as Assessor," Blunt said. "Her experience and dedication to the community will be an asset as she assumes this important new responsibility."
Woods replaces Thomas Skaggs who resigned. Woods will serve in this capacity until Aug. 31, 2007.
