Blunt Appoints Romano to Jackson County Sports Authority

 

KANSAS CITY—Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed Anthony J. Romano (D) to the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority.

Romano, 46 of Kansas City, is an attorney and chairman of the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Polsincelli, Shalton, Welte and Suelthaus. Romano holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri- Kansas City and a juris doctorate from Washburn University in Kansas.

Romano is involved with the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the American Sub-Contractors Association, Catholic Charities and the National Kidney Foundation.

Romano’s appointment is for a term ending on July 15, 2006. He replaces Richard Berkley who resigned.

The Jackson County Sports Complex Authority was created in 1966 and oversees operation of Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
