Gov. Matt Blunt Statement on South Carolina Firefighters
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement:
"Missouri firefighters are some of the bravest of the brave who unselfishly dedicate their lives to answer the call to protect this great state. All across the state these first responders perform heroic acts of courage daily and I ask you to keep them and all men and women in uniform in your thoughts and prayers. On behalf of Melanie and me, Missouri firefighters and emergency responders I offer our condolences, sympathy and prayers to the family and friends of the nine South Carolina firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty this week."
