Blunt Names Bedell to Southeast Missouri State Board of Regents

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today announced the reappointment of Donald B. (Brad) Bedell (R) to the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents.

“Brad Bedell is an avid supporter of Southeast Missouri State University and I am pleased he agreed to continue his service to the university,” Blunt said.

Mr. Bedell, 38 of Sikeston, is president of Maverick Consulting Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi. Mr. Bedell currently serves as president of the Board of Regents and as a member of the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation.

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the university and is responsible for making budgetary and policy decisions to further the university’s mission.

Mr. Bedell’s reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending Jan. 1, 2013.
