Blunt to Appoint Limbaugh to Southeast Missouri State Board of Regents
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today announced he will appoint James P. (Jim) Limbaugh (R) to the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents.
“Jim Limbaugh’s background in financial services and strong support of the university will be enormously valuable as he takes on this important role to further Southeast Missouri State University’s mission,” Blunt said.
Limbaugh, 52 of Cape Girardeau, is regional president of Montgomery Bank and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry with a primary focus in community banking. Limbaugh holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in teaching from Southeast Missouri State University. Limbaugh is currently a member of the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation and Southeast Missouri State University Booster Club Executive Committee.
The Board of Regents is the governing body of the university and is responsible for making budgetary and policy decisions to further the university’s mission.
Limbaugh’s appointment will be subject to Senate confirmation. He will replace John Tlapek whose term expires Jan. 1, 2007.
