Blunt Appoints Sandra Branson Division of Credit Unions Director
JEFFERSON CITY— Gov. Matt Blunt appointed Sandra K. Branson as the Division of Credit Unions Director within the Department of Economic Development.
"Sandra Branson is exceptionally qualified for this position. Her first-hand industry knowledge will prove invaluable to our state," Blunt said. "I am pleased she has agreed to once again lead the Division of Credit Unions."
Branson lives in Jefferson City and has worked in the banking industry for more than 30 years. She previously served as the Division of Credit Unions Director from 1987 to 1993. Most recently, she worked as President of the Missouri State Credit Union.
Branson has also worked as Vice-President for Mizzou Credit Union and President for MFA Employees Credit Union. She is a member of several prestigious business and trade organizations including the Missouri Credit Union Association and the Central Chapter of Credit Unions.
Branson attended Central Missouri State University. She is a graduate of the Missouri Executive Institute and the Executive Marketing Institute.
Branson replaces John Smith. Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Missouri Senate.
