Blunt Announces that He will Appoint Seibert to Probation and Parole Board

JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt intends to appoint Lt. Col. William K. Seibert, Jr. to the Board of Probation and Parole effective Sept. 1, 2006.

“Lt. Col. Seibert’s law enforcement experience will be invaluable to him when he assumes his new responsibilities as a member of the Board of Probation and Parole,” Blunt said. “I am pleased he has agreed to continue his service to the people of our state and know he will make a fine addition to this important board.”

Seibert, 51 of Jefferson City, is currently the assistant superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. In this position he is responsible for the daily operation of the agency. Seibert has previously served on the Missouri Child Fatality Review Board and was vice chair of the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Uniformed Criminal Reporting Subcommittee.

Seibert’s appointment will be subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Aug. 28, 2012.
