Blunt Calls Special Election in Two House Districts
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt has called for special elections to fill vacancies in the 93rd House District and 105th House District.
Republican Rep. Jodi Stefanick’s resignation on Sept. 16, 2005 leaves an open House seat in the 93rd House District.
Democratic Rep. Harold R. Selby’s resignation on Sept. 6, 2005 from the House created an open House seat in the 105th House District.
Candidates must be selected and filed with the secretary of state’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Dec.13, 2005. The special election will be held on Feb. 7, 2006.
