Blunt Calls Special Elections
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt has called for special elections to fill vacancies in the 132nd House District and in the 2nd Senatorial District.
Republican Rep. Jack Goodman’s resignation effective Nov. 28, 2005 leaves an open House seat in the 132nd House District.
Republican Sen. Jon Dolan’s resignation on Nov. 11, 2005 leaves an open Senate seat in the 2nd Senatorial District.
Candidates for the 132nd House District seat must be selected and filed with the secretary of state’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2006. The special election for the open House seat will be held on Feb. 7, 2006.
Candidates for the 2nd Senatorial District seat must be selected and filed with the secretary of state’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006. The special election for the open Senate seat will be held on April 4, 2006.
