Statement from Gov. Matt Blunt in Support of President Bush’s Effort to Obtain Line Item Veto Authority Over Federal Budget
“The use of the line item veto has been an effective tool in my efforts to control state spending and ensure Missouri government lives within taxpayer’s means. I support President Bush’s efforts to obtain line item veto authority over the federal budget and believe it will help promote fiscal discipline and ensure responsible stewardship of tax dollars for the future.”
