State Offices to Close Friday After Thanksgiving
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today signed Executive Order 05-37 closing state offices on Friday, Nov. 25, 2005.
"Missouri state employees are second to none," Blunt said. "I hope they, and all Missourians, enjoy this season of Thanksgiving spending time with their family and friends."
For at least 45 years, Missouri governors have issued executive orders closing state offices the Friday following Thanksgiving.
