Blunt Thanks Michigan Governor for Fulfilling World Series Wager
Granholm Provides Photo per Agreement
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt today thanked Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm for fulfilling the terms of their friendly 2006 World Series wager.
Since the St. Louis Cardinals beat Detroit, Granholm called Big 550 KTRS host McGraw Millhaven for a live interview. Granholm also put on an Albert Pujols jersey while enjoying a Missouri branded Angus steak and a bottle of Missouri-award winning wine. She also read the first chapter of Three Nights in August about Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa. A photograph has been posted on the internet at www.michigan.gov/gov.
“Tiger fans are good sports, and I enjoyed the wager with Gov. Granholm,” Blunt said. “I’m thrilled the Cardinals won and that Missouri agriculture is being showcased in Michigan.”
